A website you build with Claude can do more than show information. It can also come up with something on the spot: a neat text from a few keywords, a summary of your notes, a first reply to a message.
For that, your website needs to be able to call Claude. At Waterbloom that option is built into every environment. It is off by default and is only switched on when you ask for it.
Who is this for?
For tools you use yourself. The AI feature only works for the owner of the website, after signing in. Visitors to your site cannot use it. That way nobody else can spend your budget.
- Yes: a button that turns keywords into a neat text, a helper that summarises your notes, something that comes up with ideas for titles or topics.
- No: a question-and-answer box for your visitors. That is not possible yet.
How to switch it on
- Ask us to switch AI on. Send a message through the customer portal or an email to sales@waterbloom.nl. We switch it on for your environment.
- Tell Claude what you want. Use the example request below and adapt it to your own idea. Claude builds it on your website through the connection you already have.
- Sign in once on your own site. The page Claude builds has a link to sign in. You receive a sign-in link at the email address that belongs to your environment. After that you stay signed in on that device for thirty days.
An example request for Claude
"I want a tool on my website that only I use. I type a few keywords or paste my notes into a box. When I click the button, it should turn them into a neat, readable text that I can copy. Use the Waterbloom AI feature for this. Show on the page whether I am signed in, and if not, show the link to sign in."
Three sentences from this request can be reused for any other idea:
- "A tool that only I use." Then Claude builds nothing that is meant for visitors.
- "When I click the button." Then Claude is only called when you want it, not every time the page opens.
- "Use the Waterbloom AI feature." Then Claude uses the built-in connection and does not put a key in your website.
What does it cost?
Every time your website calls Claude, it costs a small amount. Having a short text written usually costs a few cents. Your package includes a monthly budget for AI.
- You can see what you use. The customer portal shows under "AI usage" what you have used this month.
- There is a monthly limit. Once it is reached, the AI feature pauses until the new month. Your website itself keeps working. If you need more, we will discuss it with you.
- How often matters, not how clever. A button you use ten times a week costs next to nothing. Something that runs by itself every hour costs a lot more.
What you should know
- Claude can make mistakes. Always read a text before you send it, especially if it contains amounts or agreements.
- It only works when you are signed in. On a new device or after thirty days you request a new sign-in link.
- What you enter goes to Claude. Do not enter information you would not want to share with an AI service.
- You do not need a key of your own. If you see a key starting with "sk-" anywhere in your website, remove it and let us know.
